When beginning a Lucy Calkin's unit around the structure of a story, my CT and I placed leveled books at each table. Each student had a "table reservation" for the cafe.
Classroom Library
My classroom library is a reflection of the cultures, interests, and backgrounds of my students. Literature is extremely powerful. I use it to convey messages of kindness, patience, acceptance, and understanding.

Key Vocabulary
At the beginning of a new unit, we add vocabulary to our "Word Wall" on the supplies cabinet. This image shows the key vocabulary of our science, economics, and writing units.
